LT COL Allen West Headed to Run-Off According to Poll Data

LTC Ret. Allen West, pictured with Navarro County DA Will Thompson, and wife Mary, is poised to attend the Gubernatorial run-off election with Governor Greg Abbott.

The latest polling data from Paradigm Partners LLC, shows support for Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West continues to trend upward to over 40 percent.
Using data from the last six statewide polls to prove logical trend lines, the most recent statewide poll has West earning the support of 42.61 percent of voters who have voted in at least two out of the last four Republican primaries, a group consisting of approximately 1,900,000 voters. The peer-to-peer text poll had over 1,500 respondents and a +/- 2.49 percent margin of error.
The strength of this data shows that Allen West is the only viable candidate that can beat incumbent Greg Abbott, who polled at 34.18 percent, toppling from over 73 percent last summer before West entered the race.
Regarding the release of this poll, Lt. Col. West stated:
“The numbers from the Paradigm poll last week of likely Republican primary voters is very encouraging. However, the most important poll will be on March 1st when legal votes are tallied. Until then, this gubernatorial campaign will press on with the mindset of being behind.”
Col. West’s brand of “Texas First” messaging — touching on themes such as the border crisis, state sovereignty, skyrocketing property taxes, medical tyranny, the rule of law, and parents rights — are clearly striking a chord across the state. This contrasts with what voters see from current state and federal administrations in contributing to the flood of issues facing Texans in the form of open borders, vaccine mandates for TXNG members, and other issues.
With early voting beginning next week in Texas, this data shows Allen West empirically positioned to be the best candidate to beat Greg Abbott and become the next Governor of Texas.
