In the early morning hours on Tuesday, Corsicana Police Department Officer Folsom observed a U-Haul can at the intersection of 31st Street and W. 3rd Avenue, near Corsicana ISD Dr. Kent Rogers Administration Building, a Drug Free Zone.
Believing the vehicle was stranded, Officer Folsom contacted the driver of the van, identified as Donna Gilbert, as she exited the vehicle. Passengers were identified as Christopher Gayton, Diana Pacheco, and Mary Hester. Upon the completion of the computer check, Gayton was found to be wanted for Revocation of Probation for Aggravated Robbery out of Dallas County.
Upon further investigation, CPD Officer Folsom detected the odor of burnt marijuana on his person. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and revealed the possession of 11.5 grams of Methamphetamine, .7 grams of Heroin, 1.2 grams of Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, and Marijuana under 2 grams.
The four subjects were placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 – >=4G<200G; Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 – <1G in a Drug Free Zone; Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 4 <28 G in a Drug Free Zone, and Possession of Marijuana <2 ounces.
In addition to the charges above, Diana Pacheco is being held for Bond Forfeiture Theft of Property >=$2,500<$30K out of Dallas County.
Three of the subjects are still being held at the Navarro County Justice Center with bonds totaling $81,000.00.
