Corsicana Fire Rescue Holds HazMat Training

Corsicana Fire Rescue staff participated in an annual HazMat training at Station 1 on Wednesday afternoon. Captain Travis Ellington stated, “Today was a technician level training, done once a year by TEEX A&M.”

Captain Ellington continued, “The state requires all of our certified HazMat technicians to acquire at least 8 hours of tech level training – including putting on Level A suits, setting up Decontamination, and plugging and patching of different types of leaks.”

Corsicana Fire Rescue also participates in awareness and operations level training each quarter. All training is performed at the newest fire station, located at 2975 Drane Road.
