Hubbard Council Approves Water Study

On November 15, the Hubbard City Council held their regular monthly meeting at City Hall. Wade Thompson, of Government Capital Securities Corporation was available for questions regarding bond options for consideration of future infrastructure planning by the city.
A Specific User Permit Application was discussed, and ultimately tabled, due to a potential inspection issue particularly regarding the roof. Further plans will be discussed and submitted.
The Municipal Pool Lease Agreement was approved and will be presented to current operator for review. The Council approved a water supply and distribution system study proposal. Danny Haynes of KSA Engineers was available for discussion. Also approved was a construction contract for the City of Hubbard’s 2015 GLO CDBG-DR Multifamily Housing Grant. Previous October minutes of the 11th, as well as October 2022 financials were approved. Larry Hawthorne reported activity on the Wheatley Recreation Center, as well as reported on a recent roof issue.
They served 164 families during the previous food give away. City Manager and Police Department, as well as Fire Department reported monthly activity.
