Corsicana Police welcomed Recruit Aaron Austin to the Corsicana Police Department family. Recruit Austin was born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. In 2005, he graduated from the Trinity Christian Academy in Willow Park, Texas and immediately joined the United States Army from where he served from 2005 through 2011 in a combat position as an Infantryman and Calvary Scout stationed in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
After an honorable discharge, he attended Weatherford College and graded the EMT program and then continued his education at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2015, he graduated from the Culinary School of Fort Worth and has worked as a chef for the past several years.
As a veteran, Recruit Austin felt the need to continue a life of service to others and entered the police academy in 2021. Corsicana Police Chief Robert Johnson said, “Chief McGaha and I were honored to attend Recruit Austin’s recent academy graduation at the Dallas County Community College, Eastfield Campus, where he was recognized as the class valedictorian.”
Aaron’s wife Denise is Nurse Practitioner, in Weatherford and are looking forward to the day they can call Corsicana home.
