If you have been anywhere near Brookshire’s parking lot in Teague lately, you have probably noticed the cozy little coffee truck with folks lined up and laughter spilling out the window. That is Holland’s Country Coffee, a family-run business that has quickly become a favorite stop for locals since opening in late May.
Behind the counter, you will find Owner Randy and son Trace who pour more than just coffee into every cup. Randy and Trace are turning a simple idea into something that is fueling both people and their small-town community.
“It is about more than coffee,” Randy shared. “It is about creating a place people look forward to visiting, where everyone feels welcome.”
From early mornings to high school game nights, Holland’s Country Coffee shows up. You will often spot the truck parked beside Brookshire’s, but Randy also makes sure it is present at youth events, local gatherings, and nearly every Teague High School game. It has become a little piece of hometown pride on wheels.
The menu has something for everyone, from smooth coffee blends to iced favorites and colorful energy drinks that brighten any day. One drink in particular, Sunset for Maddie, carries a special meaning. Half of the proceeds from each one go directly to the Madison Bragg Scholarship, helping support local students’ futures.
Randy also adds a creative touch to his business through a seasonal door hanger project. Each month, anyone who buys a cup of coffee can enter a drawing to win a handcrafted door hanger made by Randy himself. It is another fun way he connects with his customers and brings a little more joy into the community. This month’s lucky winner was Trinity Sullivan.
Community means everything to Randy. For every bit of energy and effort he pours into his business, he finds a way to pour it back into Teague, especially its youth. And while the coffee truck is thriving, he is already dreaming of the next step.
One day, Randy hopes to open a brick-and-mortar shop right here in town. But not just any shop. He envisions a “coffee and drink bar” for the youth, where friends can gather to watch varsity games just like adults do at a sports bar. Only here, the drinks are coffee and energy creations, and everyone is welcome.
Until then, you can find Randy and Trace doing what they love, serving up good coffee, good company, and a whole lot of community pride right here in the heart of Teague.
