The Kerens community is gathering to organize a cancer benefit for Sidney Combs, a Kerens native diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Combs was diagnosed in January 2022 and even with insurance, his medical bills are large.
The benefit is scheduled for this Saturday morning at the KESA Building in Kerens . There will be a 50/50 Raffle and Live and Silent Auction held that morning.
Raffle tickets are also being sold for a chance to win a Henry Golden Boy 22LR Rifle and a Texas Raised Steer Calf, ready for Butchering.
BBQ Plates will be prepared and sold with Brisket or Chicken for $12.50 per plate.
Tickets and BBQ plates can be purchased by contacting the Kerens Housing Authority, where Mr. Combs has worked for over 10 years, at 903.396.2964.
