In the early morning hours, Corsicana Police were dispatched to a stabbing at Cocina Azteca (the old Remington) at 122 W 3rd Ave.
According to reports, an adult male victim had been stabbed in the chest and abdomen and was soon transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Witnesses on scene assisted CPD Patrol officers and Detectives to identify the suspect and the vehicle that he was driving.
The 47 year old suspect was then located at his residence by CPD patrol officers and placed into custody for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon.
Herbert Wayne Moten, 47, was arrested by Corsicana Police, within hours and is being held at the Navarro County Justice Center on an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge with a bond of $50,000.00.
The victim remains at a Dallas hospital where his condition is unknown at this time.
