
According to a press release issued by the Corsicana Police Department, CPD officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Beaton Street at the MQ Food Mart for a robbery. Assistant Chief Ronald McGaha stated, “It was reported that a black male came into the store pushed the clerk and took money and other property from the business.” CPD Lt. Morris located a suspect in the area who matched the description given by the clerk.
McGaha stated, “The suspect was found to be in possession of the property that was taken from the business and admitted that he had committed the robbery. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.” The subject is being held at the Navarro County Justice Center and will likely be seen by a judge on Thursday.
