The Dr. Kent E. Rogers Clinic is proud to reaffirm its ongoing commitment to serving Navarro County and surrounding areas through continued partnerships and dedicated healthcare programs.
While recent conversations about funding have caused understandable concern, the clinic wishes to assure the community that it remains open, stable, and fully committed to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare for every patient. With continued support from community partners and newly awarded grants, the Dr. Kent E. Rogers Clinic continues to grow and strengthen its mission of caring for our community — including its ongoing efforts to achieve Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status, which will allow the clinic to expand services even further and reach more residents in need.
The clinic is pleased to announce the expansion of services through two newly awarded grants — the Primary Health Care Program and the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Grant.
These programs enhance access to preventive care for qualifying residents:
- The Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program assists women below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level by providing free or low-cost Pap smears and mammograms.
- The Primary Health Care Program serves individuals 18 years and older, offering similar support to ensure essential screenings and healthcare remain accessible to all.
- Patients are screened to determine eligibility before receiving services, allowing the clinic to extend quality care to those who need it most.
In addition to these programs, the clinic continues to provide an extensive list of healthcare services, including:
- General Primary Care: Treatment of common illnesses, school physicals, chronic condition management, telehealth, and nutrition counseling.
- Mental Health: Testing, counseling, and treatment for ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and addictions — available in-office or via telehealth.
- Dental: With our sliding fee scale program, we offer preventive care and emergency extractions on a need basis, along with limited vision services.
- Pediatrics: Well-child exams, immunizations, sick visits, and school physicals.
- Women’s Health: well woman exams including pap smears and mammogram referral, pregnancy testing/preconception counseling, gynecologic concerns, STI testing and treatment, contraceptive care, and nutrition counseling.
- Laboratory Services: On-site LabCorp lab for routine and diagnostic testing, Screenings: Mammograms, Pap smears, diabetic education, and other preventive health checks.
The clinic also welcomes Nurse Practitioner Annabelle Cook, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its medical team. Annabelle has extensive experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and family practice. With a strong background in treating diverse populations across both urban and rural communities, she brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to gynecologic care.
“The Dr. Kent E. Rogers Clinic remains focused on expanding access to quality care for everyone,” said Marty Summerall, CEO. “With new funding, the addition of Nurse Practitioner Annabelle Cook, and our continued progress toward Federally Qualified Health Center status, we’re proud to strengthen our reach and uphold Dr. Rogers’ legacy of community-centered healthcare.”
