Frost City Council met Monday evening to discuss and approve the resignation of their City Secretary, Rachel Williams. She is now in the process of being removed from the cityโ€™s bank accounts. Shannon Wayman will be issued her own debit card.

Frost will no longer accept credit card payments over the phone due to confusions about fees and concerns about citizen security and privacy.
The city council passed resolution #193 authorizing the continued participation with the Oncor Cities Steering Committee and a payment of eleven cents per capita to the committee to fund activities related to the Oncor Electric Delivery Company, Inc.

Discussions were also held regarding Ordinance No. 329 which amends the cityโ€™s code and increases the cost of permits by $20 and inspections by $15.
The cityโ€™s water department is slated to get new tools and equipment to help improve workload and make things easier and more efficient. Utility workers have been approved for a $2 increase in their base pay rate with the intention of further increases as the budget allows.

The police department is also going through inventory to update and replace things that are necessary for the job.

The council has three seats up for election in May. Packets to run for Alderman are available at the Frost City Hall and all applications are due by February 14th at 5PM.
