A fundraiser was held on Saturday evening at the Navarro County Youth Exposition Center in the Fannie Mae Room to raise money for various scholarships. Frank Hull, founding member of the Hull Creative Arts Foundation, stated, “The event was a huge success and I am confident we raised enough funds for all of our scholarships in the program.” One of the scholarships offered is the Ronny Heil Memorial Scholarship, funded completely by Charles Dunnahoe, owner of the Hometown Medical Associates Clinic, located in downtown Corsicana.
Dunnahoe stated, “This two – year scholarship goes to a deserving Navarro College creative arts student.” The RHMS was created to
honor the memory of Ronny Heil, a 1991 graduate of Wortham High School, who was killed tragically in May 1992. Heil was a talented orator, winning State in UIL competitions for debate, OAP, and more.
