On Thursday morning, in the 13th District Courtroom, a completed disposition of a juvenile case involving serious injury to Mrs. Candra Rogers, an Assistant Principal with the Corsicana School District.
The case was tried before a jury, which found the allegations of delinquent conduct by the juvenile were proved “true.”
The court then heard extensive testimony regarding the behavior history of the juvenile prior to and after the incident in which Mrs. Rogers was injured.
During the closed to public proceedings, Mrs. Rogers read an emotional statement to the juvenile. Mrs. Rogers lost an eye as a result of an altercation with the juvenile.
District 13 Judge James Lagomarsino noted this as one of the most difficult cases he has presided over during his 17 years on the bench, before ordering the juvenile committed to a facility with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department for 13 years.
