On Saturday morning, Navarro County Republican office holders arrived at the Navarro County Republican Party offices to file their paperwork for their expiring terms of office. Joined by NAVGOP Chairman Steven Jessup, Navarro County Election Judge Bill Carson, the following candidates filed their papers:
- Elmer Tanner — Navarro County Sheriff
- Kipp Thomas — Constable Precinct 4
- Jason Grant — County Commissioner Precinct 1
- Eddie Moore — County Commissioner Precinct 3
- Mike Davis — Constable Precinct 1
- Dan Williams — Constable Precinct 2
- Mike Dowd — County Tax Assessor / Collector
- James E. Lagomarsino — District 13 Judge
- Amanda D. Putman — County Court At Law Judge
According to Chairman Jessup, Republican Headquarters will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday thru Saturday.
Jessup stated, “However, I will not be in the office on Tuesday November 14, Wednesday November 15, Thursday November 16, Thursday November 23 (Thanksgiving Day), and Thursday November 30. I would recommend setting-up an appointment to ensure I can be there.”
On Monday December 11, the last day of filing, Republican Headquarters will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
