Navarro County Commissioners authorized the Navarro County Planning & Development to require those seeking replats to disclose any existing deed restrictions at Monday’s regular meeting of Commissioner’s Court.
The move ensured that deed restrictions are included before an application can be reviewed or considered for approval.
Deed restrictions are generally an agreement between the property owner and resident. By statute, Texas counties have limited power to enforce deed restrictions.
Commissioners moved to lift the burn ban. Residents are reminded to tend to all fires and be mindful of conditions while burning.
Commissioners tabled a contract between the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and Navarro County CWB Non-Financial.
Commissioners also tabled discussions regarding a final plat of Crowellville Subdivision in Pct. 2 for Crowell Properties, LLC.
Commissioners requested more information about the item, which may be addressed at a future meeting of Commissioner’s Court.
A request for a Specific Use Permit to place a Dwelling of Nonconventional Construction as a residence, was tabled, for Lisa Washington Watts. Commissioners requested more information be provided about the dwelling, located in Pct. 2 before making a decision.
Commissioners also tabled a Zoning District Change from Residential to Commercial with limited use for Southport Property Owners Association.
An update about the ADA Compliance of the Official County Website was also tabled. The item is likely to return in front of the Court at a future meeting.
A new Lease Agreement with Pitney Bowes was approved for Mail Machine at Courthouse Annex 1.
A Lease Agreement with Xerox for Texoma HIDTA was also approved.
Commissioners tabled a Utility Easement request for Mastec Lyte Fiber, LLC to cross SW CR 2344, SW CR 2348, and SW CR 2349, in Pct. 3.
ct. 3 Commissioner, Eddie Moore, said more information about the time frame of the projects which relate to a state program to increase high speed internet access in rural areas is needed.
This and similar items are likely to be addressed at future meetings of Commissioners Court.
A Utility Easement for Mastec Lyte Fiber, LLC on SW CR 2260, SW CR 4120, SW CR 4125, SW CR 4130, SW CR 4270, SW CR 4280 SW CR 4300 and SW CR 4310 in PCT 3, was also tabled.
A revised road use agreement and road bond for BDPU Solar in Pct. 4 was also approved. The change was needed because fewer roads were needed to complete the proposed work than were noted in the original agreement.
Commissioners also approved a utility easement for Community Water Company to place a four-inch water line on SW CR 3140 in Pct. 4.
A request from Community Water Company to cross SW CR 3140 in Pct. 4 for a standard road bore was also approved.
Utility Easement for Valor Telecom Texas, LLC was granted in order to begin work on NW CR 4190 in Pct. 4
Utility Easements were also approved for Valor Telecom Texas, LLC to begin placement of fiberoptic cable on SW CR 3090, SW CR 3160, College Ave., Brown St., and West Third St. in Pct. 4.
An additional easement was also approved for Valor Telecom Texas LLC for work on NW CR 3110, NW CR 3112, NW CR 3114, NW CR 3115, NW CR 3120, NW CR 3121, and NW CR 3135 in Pct. 4.
Consideration of approving an additional utility easement for Valor Telecom Texas, LLC on SW CR 2029, was also approved in Pct. 4.
Additional fiberoptic cable work will also be completed on NW CR 2190, SW CR 3010, SW CR 3140, and SW CR 3149 in Pct. 4
Commissioners approved the purchase and a finance contract for a 2026 John Deere 670p Motor Grader for Pct. 4. The cost of the equipment is $373,699.
The finance contract between Government Capital and Navarro County Pct. 4 set the term to pay off the John Deere Motor Grader at four years.
An Executive Session was held though no action resulted from that session.
The Navarro County Commissioners Court meets regularly at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Navarro County Courthouse, located at 300 W. Third Ave. in Corsicana.
