FRIED CATFISH NIGHTS AT ROCKING RD CATTLE COMPANY RESTAURANT

From the décor to the home cooked smells, Rocking RD Cattle Company Restaurant in Blooming Grove promises a great dining experience from the first step into the recently updated building.
Albeit a rocky start with delays from remodeling, owners Randy and Donna Bugher provide a calm and inviting environment to Navarro County, that you must experience to believe.
This restaurant’s conception was to utilize its own recipes, carrying the legacy and traditions of his raising. Hailing from Buffalo, Wyoming, The Bugher’s made Texas their home more than 20 years and now have made the Barry and Blooming Grove communities, their home.
Have you tried the homemade cherry pie, yet? Randy brings in fresh cherries from the Flathead lake area in Montana – folks, it doesn’t get any better than that!
Manager Tonya Vallo further continues the down-home traditions from greeting you at the door to making sure your visit is as positive as it can be.
The Bugher’s, with their staff, has recently added daily specials to their new updated menu as well as the most recent – insert drum roll – Thursday and Friday night Fried Catfish!
Hand breaded and fresh, the fried catfish is delivered to your plate after bathing in a delicious corn meal breading and fried to perfection. It is served with hand cut French fries and Cole slaw, but don’t forget those low and slow Cowboy beans.
Incorporating portions of the Rocking RD Cattle Company Processing Plant, located in Freestone County – nearly halfway to Corsicana, the hand cut steaks are a mouthwatering treat, as well as the retail packaged seasonings.
With the most tender cut of beef, the Chicken Fried Steak is without question – the best in the land.
Let’s not forget to mention those hand-pattied, cooked to order, hamburgers. Served with your choice of French fries or hand breaded in fresh seasonings and battered Onion Rings, the Mushroom Swiss Burger is heavenly.
The restaurant utilizes those seasonings in many of their menu items, from the French fry seasoning to the ‘Chicken Fry’ breading.
This establishment has everything for everyone – including a full breakfast menu, that is served from open to close. The homemade breakfast sausage and bacon, which can only be experienced to be appreciated, explains the aromatic smell when you enter this restaurant.
