“The boys are totally excited,” said Laura Fore, house parent at Pleasant Hills Children’s Home east of Fairfield. “They are working really hard.”
Laura and her husband, Shane, serve as parents to aspiring young artists who range in age from 3 to 17 years.
Creating paintings and drawings with a Christmas or Polar Express theme, these young students expect to have at least 10 pieces on display at the Trinity Star Art Gallery during the special ‘Polar Express Wonderland’ exhibition held December 5th & 7th.
The artwork will be featured along with a Polar Express train set in action, and musical performances by the Fairfield Eagles Choir and harpist Diane Repp, on Thursday evening, December 5, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition will coincide with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce ‘Sip, Snack & Shop’ event that evening in downtown Fairfield.
Treats and refreshments will be provided.
If you miss the first night, don’t worry. The Christmas art exhibition and miniature train action will also be available to view on Saturday, December 7th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. during the City of Fairfield and Chamber’s annual ‘Christmas on the Square’ event.
Treats will be served during the Saturday event, as well.
Come out and enjoy the beautiful artwork of local students and get into the Christmas spirit!
Trinity Star Art Gallery is located on the square in downtown Fairfield, Texas at 115 S. Mount Street.
