Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, to select candidates in Texasโ€™s Primary Election.

All 20 voting locations across Navarro County will be open, allowing all registered voters to cast their ballots.

During the past 10 days of early voting, held at the Navarro County Annex #1, 13% of registered Navarro County voters cast their ballots.

Polls will be open from 7 am -7pm.

Republicans have several choices to make while in the voting booth including propositions and statewide candidates, to decide upon.

Locally, contested races include the District Attorney, County Judge, County Clerk and GOP County Chair.

Over the past several weeks candidates for these positions have participated in a number of candidate forums and meet and greets where each has the opportunity to interact with Navarro County voters.

Kerri Anderson Donica will be on the ballot with James Polk and Andrew Wolf. Wolf currently serves as the first assistant in the Navarro County District Attorneyโ€™s Office.

Joesph Aguilar is also on the ballot; however, Aguilar is no longer actively campaigning, deciding instead to support Donica.

โ€œShe has the best chance to change how that office is run,โ€ he said.

Voters will also have a three-way race to decide in the County Judgeโ€™s race. Enoch Basnett, Darrell Cobb, and Colby Karhan will face off.

Sandy Davis and Rachel Young are vying to become the next County Clerk, while Connie Hickman and Rheann Ivie are both running for Navarro County Republican Chair.

There are also a number of contested races for contested Precinct Chair positions on the Republican ballot.

Although no local races will have Democrat opponents in the November General Election, Democrats will have the opportunity to choose statewide candidates and propositions.

Any candidate who fails to meet the 50% + 1 vote threshold will find themselves in a Runoff Election which will be held in May.
