On September 29, 2025, the Corsicana Public Library hosted its Art for the Rest of Us group. This welcoming space is designed for individuals who may not see themselves as traditionally talented, offering a supportive environment to embrace imperfection and discover new creative pursuits.
The group is a free, adults-only program that meets monthly to enjoy various arts and crafts activities. Led by Dr. Marianne Wilson, the library director, participants are guided through the craft or art activities.
This month’s project featured mini tin bookshelves, with all materials provided—including tins, miniature books, and accessories like tiny plants and coffee cups.
As a complimentary service, the library encourages everyone to take advantage of their offerings and stay connected through their active Facebook page, where they share event calendars, schedules, and photos.
They have not yet chosen a date for next month’s meeting, but as soon as they do, it will be announced on their Facebook page.
