Follow the charismatic street urchin Aladdin as he stumbles upon an extraordinary magic lamp and befriends a larger-than-life genie who can grant his heart’s deepest wishes. The musical showcases memorable songs from the classic Disney film, including favorites like “Friend Like Me” and “A Whole New World.”
Leading the cast are Richard “Art” Waldrip and Atticus McDaniel as Aladdin, Valentina Garcia and Linda Najera as Princess Jasmine. Madylyn “Mady” Buchanan and Sage Reiley bring the hilarious Genie to life, while Charles “Chazz” Meeks and Kayleigh Meeks take on the villainous Jafar.
What makes this production truly special is The Penguin Project’s innovative approach to inclusive theater. The program pairs young performers of all abilities as “artists” and “mentors” to create a collaborative, supportive theatrical experience where every participant shines. Each artist works closely with their mentor to deliver performances that showcase the talents and abilities of all involved.
Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased online after the Thanksgiving break or at the door. Don’t miss this opportunity to support local youth theater while experiencing a timeless tale of friendship, courage, and discovering the magic within.
