According to Corsicana Police, a major accident occurred on I-45 on Friday.
Initially, it was reported that a large piece of concrete went through a vehicle’s windshield and struck a passenger. An attempt by PHI was set to happen at Bunert Park, but he was deteriorating quickly, so EMS transported the victim to Navarro Regional Hospital.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Chris Williamson made the following statement via email, “Vehicle 1 was traveling northbound on IH 45 around the 231 mile marker. A piece of concrete/rock debris was kicked up by a vehicle ahead of vehicle 1 and went through the windshield striking the front passenger. Â The passenger was airlifted from a local hospital to Parkland in Dallas Tx. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.”
