During the January meeting for the City of Frost, the Mayor and council board members convened for their first council meeting of the year at City Hall.
During Mayor Wayman’s report, she provided an update on the water line break that occurred last month, as well as the impact on water bills in Frost. Wayman encouraged everyone to sign up for city alerts.
After months of discussion, Frost council members voted to maintain the Frost Police Department and will now proceed with the next steps to appoint a new Police Chief for the city.
Special announcements: Two alderman positions and the mayor position will be on the May Election Ballot.
Candidate packets are available via the Texas Secretary of State website or at City Hall beginning January 14th.
Filing periods closes February 13th.
