Republican voters will have a choice in the 2026 Republican Primary Election. Daniel Hunt is challenging the incumbent State Representative for Texas House District 8. He believes a State Representative must meet with the constituents often to represent their needs in Austin.
Daniel has been busy spreading his message all over the District, and listening to the concerns of the voters. He has been especially present in Navarro County over the last few months.
In October, Daniel met with Navarro County residents and enjoyed the air show at the Corsicana Airport. He attended a service and lunch at the Cowboy Church of Corsicana on October 12th, where he met with many attendees. Daniel spoke at the October meeting of the Navarro County Republican Party meeting on the 20th.
A Meet and Greet with Eureka area residents was held on October 21st at the Pelican Grill. He also spoke at the Navarro County Republican Womens Club meeting on October 28th.
Daniel enjoyed the Salvation Army Murder Mystery Fundraiser at Navarro County Community College on November 3rd with several members of the Republican Womens Club. He met with many area residents at the dedication of the Sheriff Les Cotton Peace Officer Museum at Pioneer Village on November 6th. That evening, Daniel also attended and spoke at the Richland Volunteer Fire Department monthly meeting.
On November 15th, Daniel ate breakfast with the men of the Cowboy Church of Corsicana, then participated in the city Veterans Day Parade. The following Tuesday, he spoke to the Vietnam Veterans of America – Corsicana Chapter. The Community Thanksgiving Service at Lone Star Cowboy Church on November 23rd was a great opportunity for Daniel to meet with many more Navarro County residents. He attended the Navarro County Commissioners Court meeting on November 24th.
“There are many issues that I have heard from the people of Navarro County,” said Hunt. “The people want a Representative that they can speak with. That relationship is important for the Representative, but more important for the voters. I understand I work for them, and hope to earn their vote.”
