CASA of Navarro County is looking for a few good people to join their ranks. Volunteers are needed to serve as Guardians Ad Litem (GAL) and to serve as non-advocates. Guardians Ad Litem are appointed by a judge to serve a child/children who have been removed from their parent(s) or legal guardian and placed in the legal custody of Child Protective Services. Non-Advocate volunteers will help CASA of Navarro County with community outreach, GAL appreciation, office support, or helping with the Clergy, CASA and Community program. For both options, volunteers will be required to pass background checks and will receive training to help them fulfill their roles.
We need volunteers of all types, from all backgrounds, and hours are flexible enough that people with full-time jobs are still able to volunteer and have a huge impact. Bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers are especially helpful and could be of assistance as either a Guadian Ad Litem role, a non-advocate role, or as a translator for others as needed.
If you have an interest in either role, please contact CASA of Navarro County by phone at 903-872-3772 or by email to sgallagher@casanav.org.CASA of Navarro County is looking for a few good people to join their ranks.
