Cotton Slows Down Saturday Morning HWY 31 W Traffic

ON SATURDAY MORNING JUST AFTER 8:30 AM, AN 18-WHEELER OVERTURNED AND LANDED IN THE MEDIAN OF HWY 31W, JUST OUTSIDE OF DAWSON. The driver of the vehicle contacted Powell Gin owner Melissa DeHay, where the load of bailed cotton was headed. DeHay quickly dispatched tractors to assist for cleanup and to remove the vehicle and trailer in the median. An Area Texas DPS Trooper arrived on the scene quickly, according to reports by officials, and after assessing the driver’s safety, allowed the driver to contact the owner to remove the vehicle.
