Today, during the regular meeting of the Freestone County Commissioners’ Court, Freestone County Judge Linda Grant announced her intention to retire, effective September 15 at the end of business.
Judge Grant has been a sitting County Judge for nearly 3 decades and she will be missed by the citizens of Freestone County.
It is unclear when the special meeting will be called to appoint her replacement, until the election next November.
