Monday marked the first day of Early Voting for the 2024 Presidential Election.
Voters on all sides of the ballot showed up with unprecedented numbers. Total ballots cast on Monday were 1,673 in person votes, with 165 mail-in ballots received.
On Tuesday, 1598 showed up to cast their in person votes and by Friday the totals kept rising to a grand total of 7,518 in person voters – completely surpassing the total votes cast in the primary election held this past March.
Navarro County registered voters can cast their early ballot through November 1st at the Navarro County Courthouse Annex Building, the same building where you register your vehicle or pay your property taxes! Freestone County early voting facilities are – Fairfield Conference Center – Green Barn at the Freestone County Fairgrounds – Sunday 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM and next week Monday – Friday 7 AM – 7 PM; and in Teague at the Teague City Hall from 8AM – 5 PM Monday -Friday only.
