Corsicana Texas does not offer many options for homemade all natural products but now there is a new up and coming business that provides hand crafted merchandise. BNF’s Cozy & Clean Home & Body was created in February 2023 and ran by Brittany Fugate with her supportive husband of four years and a daughter who loves to help. Growing up in Kaufman, she learned how to sew and crochet from her grandmother. After moving to Corsicana, she had her daughter and became more aware of harsh chemicals in products like Johnson and Johnson. When her daughter started Head start, she made a natural louse (lice) repealing spray and then her own dry shampoo when she noticed the recalls.
She then began making her own deodorant and laundry detergent for her own household. She fell in love with goat soap and began making her own goatmilk soap and lotions. Her business has expanded; and she now hand makes body butter, sugar scrub, dry shampoo, laundry detergent, dog shampoo, all natural cleaning products, crochet headwraps, wallets, cup cozy’s, earrings, and bookmarks.
Brittany offers goat soap making classes out of her home, they are usually 1.5 hours long where she walks the customer through the Do’s and Don’ts and provides step by step instructions on how to make soap. Her first class was October 1, 2023. Customers are allowed to choose the scent for their soap, and she provides the safety equipment needed like goggles and gloves. Classes are $25 each person and they get the soap they make and printed off instructions to take home.
All soaps are handmade from scratch using goat milk, lard, coconut oil, and lye. Fragrance free options are available and beef tallow is used if a customer has a coconut allergy. The soaps and fragrance can last well over a year if packaged properly. There are many great benefits of using goatmilk. Goat’s milk has been known to help with acne, blemishes, irritation and inflammation, skin infections such as Rosaceae, Eczema, Psoriasis, and contact Dermatitis. It also helps to maintain the pH balance of skin and repairs damaged skin faster. Her products as well as her dog shampoo have been tested.

For the month of October, she has deals going on which consist of her “boo bag” (bar of soap, body butter, sugar scrub, and bath bomb) or her “boo box” (five different soaps) both for $25 each. She will be one of the vendors in the Bazaar at the Expo (Fall Craft Fair) on October 14th, the Ferris Fall Festival October 21st, and the Navarro County Pro-Rodeo scheduled November 10-11th.
