Charles Dunnahoe is the Sole Owner (FNP-BC) of Hometown Medical Associates located at 106 S. Beaton Street Corsicana, Texas. Hometown Medical specializes in Family Medicine and are open five days a week from 8am-5pm. Dunnahoe grew up in Wortham and loved Navarro County. “This is my hometown and I wanted to start a practice here,” said Charles.

He’s been married to Alyssa Dunnahoe for eight years; they have four kids and one grandchild. He moved back to Corsicana in 2014 after he received his education at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he received his master’s degree in 2016. His clinical training has been all over the state including Tyler, Waco, Houston, Dallas and others.

Charles loved the idea of diversity for his clinical training and loved to travel before settling down in Corsicana. Dunnahoe started the Hometown Medical Associates at the end of 2017. Hometown Medical is a medical group practice originally located on Collin Avenue, he moved the practice and opened on Beaton Street in January.

Hometown Medical Associates has a full lab and can provide pre-employment physicals and drug testing. He goes on-site to large companies to do pre-employment drug screening for multiple major industrial companies. The clinic provides family care, women’s health, well child visits, sports physicals, minor injuries and more. He loves working with children and is the volunteer medical professional for the Corsicana High School Tiger’s football team. On Friday nights he’s usually on the side lines at games. “If someone needs help, we help in anyway we can,” said Charles.

Charles Dunnahoe has a passion for the arts in Corsicana and Navarro County, bringing forth The Ronny Heil Memorial Scholarship – a cause close to his heart.

The Ronny Heil Memorial scholarship is chaired and provided by Charles Dunnahoe; it is a scholarship awarded to a student in the creative arts attending Navarro College. The goal of the scholarship is to provide an exceptionally talented student an opportunity to reach their full potential.

The Ronny Heil scholarship amount is determined each Fall and has been going on for the last four years. Ronny Heil grew up in Wortham and was Charles Dunnahoe’s best friend in High School.  Heil was an exceptional talent and tragically never got the chance to reach his full potential.

To qualify for the RHMS, the student must be part of the scholarships awarded by Dr. Shellie O’ Neal, Theater Professor at Navarro College.

Along with participating in events and games in Navarro County, Charles and his family attend Highpoint Church in Corsicana.

“I want to practice old school medicine and continue to grow, I want to be part of the positive side of Corsicana and be involved in the community,” said Charles. Hometown Medical Associates is always accepting new patients and walk-ins. At Hometown Medical Associates, most medical insurance is accepted, and the office also has a cash pay plan.

“I love caring for people, I want people to know there’s medical professionals in Corsicana who actually care and are compassionate for people,” said Charles.

Future plans are to branch out, and do more industrial (occupational) medicine, and continue to be part of Navarro County. Volunteering his time, helping the youth, and serving Corsicana is a personal goal for him and his wife and he looks forward to many more years of being part of Navarro County.
